No Silos Allowed - BasicSafe Integration

Silos are bad when it comes to business knowledge and when it comes to safety software. At BasicSafe, we believe that knowledge should be integrated…no silos (silos are tall structures that stand alone). This plays out in many different ways with our software. All of our modules can be linked into other modules so that information is available to end users when they need it.

Nothing exemplifies this better than our Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Tool

  • Lockout Tagouts (LOTO) can be linked and tied into particular job steps in case the JSA requires that a piece of equipment be locked out. The user doesn’t have to go find the LOTO procedure to complete the job safely.

  • MSDS can also be linked in case the job requires handling of chemicals. The user doesn’t have to go someplace else to find the MSDS to do the job safely.

  • Additionally, Policies and/or Procedures can be linked to a job step in the JSA. If a user needs to know what the confined space policy is for the facility, it can be linked directly to the step that requires it. Users don’t have to go looking. It is all right where they need it when they need it.

  • If the user needs to fill out a permit before performing a certain job step, permits can be linked directly from the Permit Tool. Again, information when they need it, where they need it.

The entire BasicSafe suite of safety management tools is designed the same way. Here are a few more examples:

  • The Training Tool can be linked to Lockout Tagouts, Policies & Procedures, and MSDS.

  • Problem LOTO, MSDS, JSA, and Policies & Procedures can be linked to the Incident Tool in case one of them needs to be investigated as a result of an injury.

Integration is our rule at BasicSafe and our customers would have it no other way!
